Our experience in the computer industry since since the late 1980's means that we have a large skill set on which to base some of the services that we can provide our clients with.

QuickTime VR  ::  Web Site Development  ::  Multimedia Production

QuickTime VR is a technology developed by Apple Computer, to allow you to view 360 degree 'Virtual Reality' panoramic scenes/photos on your computer (see the example VR 'movie' below).

Golden Micro has developed the virtualNZ website as a showcase for the possible uses of this technology, and provides information on how we can help you produce some VR movies of your business, either for use on your own website, or on any CD-Rom material you may wish to distribute.

In addition to complete web sites, we can also create web-based software applications as part of our software development services. The 4th Dimension software we use provides an extensive set of internet and web-site functionality, that allows us to create sophisticated websites, with a multi-user dtaabase system at the back end.

Some of these systems provide considerable advantages to our clients, as a standard web browser can be used as the database interface.

We can leverage our video production, QuickTime VR and web site development skills to produce stunning, and comprehensive multimedia CD-Roms for your business or organisation.

One of the multimedia CD's we have created is the 'Classic Aircraft In New Zealand Vol 01' CD. This disk provides a huge amount of photographs, QuickTime Movies (over 50 mins worth of video), QuickTime VR panoramas, 3D photographs, sound files and other information.

This cross platform (Windows & Macintosh) product uses any standard web browser for the user interface, meaning that the end-user need not install any other software in order to use the disk, making it a simple and effective means of distributing a large amount of information and media, to your users or clients.
