My skills extend from the analysis of user requirements to systems design, programming and installation. My particular area of interest is in the analysis and implementation of accounting systems -- from single-user small business systems to large multi user implementations.
For six years prior to forming Golden Micro, I worked as a Project Manager within the Information Services Section of the Computing Services Centre at the University of Otago (Dunedin, New Zealand). My team and I were charged with the development, maintenance and installation of financial and management software at the University. This included the installation of the Decfin/Ugen suite of programs, as well as the development of in-house systems such as a large human resource database ('Tangata') which for many years was the largest 4th Dimension-based multi-user application in use at Otago University.
I have experience with several operating systems including the VAX, the MacOS and Windows, and my programming and database experience includes COBOL, Pascal, Rdb and 4th Dimension. I currently specialise in financial computing, system design and development.

I have been developing and supporting large database applications on personal computers since 1989. This includes time at the Dunedin Public Hospital Ophthalmology Dept, and Otago University (Dunedin, New Zealand) Computing Services Centre.
Over a three year period at the University I developed a number of 'mission critical' database applications (written in 4th Dimension) -- a number of which are still in use today. I was also heavily involved (with Janet) in the development of the 'Tangata' Human Resources database.
I have provided, and continue to provide, extensive 'user services' support and user training for many Macintosh users. Currently I specialise in system design and development, user training, and deal with most technical support queries (both hardware and software).
A relatively recent (c.2001) sidestep in direction has meant that I've become heavily involved in all aspects of video, and multimedia development.
