System Maintenance

In addition to original software development, Golden Micro Solutions are also experienced in maintaining 4th Dimension-based software applications developed by other programmers/companies (normally when the original programmer is unable to continue to provide support and further development work).

The following table describes some of the applications we have worked upon on behalf of the owners of the software:

Serapis:

Hospital Eye Dept Patient Record System

Initially an in-house development (begun in 1989), Golden Micro Solutions has provided on-going support and maintenance programming of this system since 1996. Most recent modifications included the implementation of an interface between this 4th Dimension-based system and the hospitals corporate-wide Oracle database.

The system now records departmental patient details within the 4th Dimension database, and interfaces to the Oracle (back-end) database to retrieve general patient , appointment and clinic details stored in the corporate database.

ISAAC:

International Student Admission and Administration Computer System

Purchased from an Australian university, this software handles the record keeping details of the Research and International Dept at a large new Zealand University.
